Abstract

The technique of Positron Emission Particle Tracking (PEPT) is able to track a single particle, which has been labelled with a positron-emitting radionuclide, moving in the bed of powder within a small mixer. Examples of the ways in which the data obtained in a horizontal-axis ploughshare mixer can be analysed and displayed are presented, as an illustration of the potential value of the technique for powder studies.
