Selected results from full scale measurements on the Skarnsundet cable-stayed bridge
Abstract
The Skarnsundet bridge in Norway, inaugurated in December 1991, has been subject to a number of full scale measurements during construction and service. The measurements have concentrated on monitoring of wind properties and corresponding bridge responses with the objective of confirming certain design parameters. Strain measurements in the bridge deck will continue as a part of the inspection program for the bridge.
