Abstract

The Normandie bridge, in construction over the river Seine, will be open during winter 94/95. World record for cable stay bridges, the project also changes the social and economic destiny of the area including the international port of Le Havre and the pretty village of Honfleur. Received like an intruder in the natural estuary, the well known bridge is becoming the protector of the ecological site, and also a subject of pride by the population.
