Development of novel technologies for strait crossings based on submerged tunnels: An application to Høgsfjord
Abstract
A feasibility study has been performed for the Norwegian Høgsfjord crossing. The main features of the envisaged technical solution are presented with special attention to the system concept, the design criteria, the structural components and the procedures for construction and installation, which greatly benefits from the experience gained in the field of the offshore technologies.
