Abstract

Analyses of geotechnical problems make assumption that the soil is a multiphase medium. Accepting Biot analysis, U-P solution governing equations must to be taken into account. This problem is partially solved in this paper. Using CAM clay nonlinear stress-strain relation, the normal consolidation line is computed. Comparing the numerical analysis and laboratory tests, three CAM clay parameters are described. The first results are seen. In conclusion, the coefficient of consolidation depends on the pore pressure level and increases with the total mean stress.
