Abstract

Even though the natural clays and silts are anisotropic, the Modified Cam Clay model is valid for calculations when proper material parameters are selected. The finite element programs CRISP90 and Z- Soil are used for analysing an embankment on soft clay. The determination of the parameters is discussed.
