An automatic adaptive remeshing for modelling of shear band
Abstract
An automatic adaptative remeshing is applied for the modelling of the shear band localization. The generation of the new mesh is based on localization indicators. The detection of shear bands is performed with a bifurcation analysis or with a kinematic indicator based on the equivalent strain. A numerical example demonstrates the ability of the method and shows the evolution of shear bands.
