Frost protection of ice arenas
Abstract
An approach for the frost design of artificial ice arenas is presented. The determination of initial data covers the requirements of both open-air and indoor ice rinks. Design values for the thermal conductivity of thermal insulation materials are proposed assuming that the structure has an impermeable surface and that its drainage is properly dealt with.
