Rock slopes: Some construction case histories
Abstract
Several case histories are reviewed describing the analysis, treatment, and behavior of rock slopes related to the construction of dam and hydroelectric projects. The need to understand the slope geology and geometry is emphasized. The practical and successful application of rock mechanics using simple tools and principles is presented.
