Abstract

The elastic stability analysis of three dimensional tapered built-up members is presented. Single, double and battened bracing systems are studied. A vertical concentrated load applied at the four corners of the top section is considered. The influence of several parameters such as the column height, the slope of the vertical members, and the members’ stiffness were examined. The results are presented in graphical and tabular form.
