Abstract

A research programme on the cyclic behaviour of composite semi-rigid beam-to-column joints has been initiated in the National Technical University of Athens, Lab. of Steel Structures. The programme includes both theoretical and experimental investigations. The theoretical investigations comprise the development of rules for the determination of the strength and the flexibility of the joint, a model for the joints to the applied in frame analyses, and dynamic analysis of the semi-rigid joint. The experimental investigations were performed on two full scale test specimens subjected to cyclic loading.
