Using cracked Brazilian discs for Mode I and mixed mode fracture testing
Abstract
Presented in this paper will be the background, the technique and the testing results when using the (Cracked Chevron-Notched Brazilian Disc (CCNBD) specimen for rock Mode I K IC , Mode II K IIC and mixed mode fracture strength locus testing. Dans cet article bous considérons l’histoire, la methods et les résultats expérimentaux pour le spécimen CCNBD quand utilisé pour tester le locus de la résistance à la cassure pour les modes I K IC , I K IIC et mixte. Dieses paper zeigt sowohc den hintergrund, die technik als auch die testresultate des CCNBD — versuchstmusters im fall vom gesteinsprobentests vom typ I K, c , typ II K IIC sowie des uombinierten testverfahrens zur bestimmung der risstärue.
