Modelling of chemically reacting flows and crystal growth in turbulent media environment
Abstract
The study of chemical reactions in turbulent flows involve various processes, such as turbulent mixing, convection and diffusion in stirred liquids, crystal growth of poorly solvable products (educts), physi- and chemisorption (e.g. of dyes) in flows through porous media (tissues, fabrics, yarn coils) etc. In the following we give a mathematical frame of some of these processes.
