Abstract

Global data sets such as GVI (Global Vegetation Index) computed from NOAA AVHRR, global rainfall and temperature (Murai lab, Univ of Tokyo), global DEM (ETOPO5), global soil types (FAO/UNESCO), world population census (UN) and world forest statistics (FAO) have become available in order to develop global studies.on human impacts on the earth environment.
