Fixed link across the Øresund: Large excavation for tunnel and ramp in a freight railway yard

There are several outstanding works in connection with the Danish landworks for the coming fixed link between Denmark and Sweden. This paper describes the Contract “Tunnel Sydhavn Station”. The “Tunnel Sydhavn Station” is situated inside the Copenhagen freight yard and is underpassing the main entrance tracks to the freight station. The construction, the construction requirements and the construction experiences are described. Monitoring of permanent anchors in a sheet pile ramp extending the tunnel at Sydhavn Station are described too.
