Abstract

This paper presents the technology of “Explosed Created Piles, ECP), as they wer edesigned to anchor snow supporting and block supporting structures. The implementation procedure is described. Sites tests were performed in order to assess the extraction strength of ECP. The influencing factors have been studied (types of soils, depth, quantity of explosives....) The tests gave the way to a standard for testing ECP. Their results have beeb compared with results of of finite elements simulations.
