On the identification of an interface damage model for the prediction of delamination initiation and growth
Abstract
The present study, supported by CNES (French National Center for Space Studies), concerns the identification of an interface damage model devoted to the prediction of delamination. The subject of the identification and validation of the model by means of several tests, for different types of specimens, including holed plates in tension, is discussed. Even though the purpose of this work is quite general, the tests were conducted with M55J/M18 (high-modulus carbon-fibres / epoxy resin) material specimens.
