High strength reinforcement in concrete structures: Serviceability implications
Abstract
The serviceability of reinforced concrete beams and slabs is investigated for elements designed using 500 Grade (f n =500 MPa) reinforcement. The short-term and long-term in-service behaviour are considered and the applicability of the serviceability design provisions of AS3600-1994 are examined.
