Tendency to cracking in hardening concrete under different degrees of restraint
Abstract
In the current study, the relationship between the degree of restraint and thermal stresses has been established for typical concrete wall sections subject to heat-of-hydration, based on a rational analysis methodology. This relationship was shown to be non-linear due to creep effects and material non-linearity. Similar analyses are being carried out for other structural elements under different exposure conditions.
