An inverse problem approach in mining subsidence
Abstract
Subsidence due to underground mining excavation is a typical limited data problem. For a preliminary identification problem, elastic rockmass behavior is supposed, and a method based on minization error of constitutive law has been used. In this subsidence problem, joints behaviour appear to have a great importance. This inverse method allows for the moment, to take account of two limiting cases for contact between layers, corresponding to perfectly bonded interfaces and smooth interfaces.
