Abstract

The operative reception and archive of the METEOSAT and NOAA data at the Hungarian Meteorological Service began in September 1991 and January 1992, respectively. Different methods have been developed to derive several agrometeorological parameters, such as vegetation index, land surface temperature, radiation components and evapotranspiration. In this paper a short review of the determination of these parameters will be shown.
