Abstract

This paper outlines some highlights of an investigation aimed toward the development of accelerated test methods for determining the long-term behavior of fiber-reinforced polymer composite structures. The work included the development of new destructive and non-destructive test methods for examining the engineering properties of civil engineering polymeric composite materials as well as the generation of short- and long-term design data for composites subjected to a variety of mechanical and environmental loading conditions.
