Free-Radical Polymerization
Abstract
A special session, “Frontiers in Radical Polymerization”, was held at the fall meeting of the Society of Polymer Science, Japan, in 1997. Papers dealing with free-radical polymerization were also presented at the poster session on “Polymer Synthesis”. In this article, selected topics presented at the two sessions are reviewed. Several papers dealing with living free-radical polymerization which uses stable nitroxyl radical species 1 were presented.
