Abstract

Biological contact aeration process technology consisting of two main systems: the filler and the aeration, as a developed technology for sewage treatment has been studied and applied to water supply source pre-treatment engineering in recent twenty years. Combining related tests of the East River-Shenzhen water supply source pre-treatment project, drag problem of biological contact aeration process technology and its test & research methods have been present in this paper. According to velocity distribution and the weight of silt deposited and gathered on fillers, hydrodynamic characteristics in biological treatment channel and possibility influence on the effect of water treatment have been analyzed.
