Modelling wave propagation in nearshore area
Abstract
A practical model system for nearshore wave propagation is presented in the paper, which consists of directional wave spectrum propagation model and wave setup model . The results of numerical test done on a mild slope with a supposed elliptic bay show that the model system yields rather reasonable distribution of wave height and wave setup, and confirm that the interaction between wave and wave setup plays important role in nearshore wave computation.
