3-D numerical simulation on dilution behavior of near field for river diffuser
Abstract
The 3-dimensional turbulence modelling and hybrid finite analytic method are used to predict the dilution behavior of near field for multiport buoyant jets in river. The predict dilution are good by comparison with available laboratory measurements. A empirical formula for temperature dilution in near field for this kinds flow is given. Comparison of the dilution between three-port and one-port, it is found that multiport discharge is better than one-port one. There are bifurcation and Coanda effect in the near field for river diffuser.
