3-dimensional water quality and hydrodynamic modelling in Hong Kong II. Forcing residual currents
Abstract
This paper shows that the simulated residual flow, affecting significantly the salt distribution in Hong Kong waters, complies with extensive and excellent long-term ADCP observations only if the monsoondependent residual currents along the North coast of the South China Sea are correctly imposed through the open-sea boundary conditions.
