Vertical velocity profiles Ofturbulent two-layer flow
Abstract
Experiments were conducted in a rectangular flume with two layer steady, unidirectional flow of different density fluid. A relationship based on the assumptions of McCutcheon (1981) and Lawrence (1985) was developed and tested with experimental data to describe the vertical velocity and density profile of turbulent two-layer flow. The results show a good agreement between measured and calculated profiles.
