Abstract

Concrete is a material which achieve its properties after placing during the so-called hydration process. This means that the material and its properties is formed in the definitive construction. Most of the concrete is hardening outside in very different conditions. The properties of concrete determine the behaviour of material directly, the strength required for formwork removal, or in the future, durability. The durability can decrease by cracks occur during the hydration. Therefore, attention is risen to the development of the properties during the hydration, called the curing of concrete. First, by monitoring the temperature development during the construction. Nowadays by planning the curing of concrete by computer simulations before construction.
