Abstract

In a wind tunnel tests on a bridge, the similarity law should be satisfied between a real structure and a scaled model. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to conduct the experiments under the same Reynolds Number, one of parameters for similarity law, as the real bridge by using usual method. This paper focuses on the existence of Reynolds Number effects in wind runnel tests and proposes an idea to remove the Reynolds Number effects on the basis of measuring results of Strouhal Numbers of both a real bridge and scaled models.
