k-ε and Re stress transport model simulations of the flow around a trapezoidal bluff body
Abstract
This paper deals with the simulation of the unsteady mean flow around a trapezoidal profile using k-E and Re stress transport models implemented in the finite element code N3S developed at the Laboratoire National d’Hydraulique (LNH). Assuming that the profile has a very large span wise dimension allows parametric studies using only two dimensional computations on unstructured mesh. The Reynolds number varies from 0.3 to 70 millions, and the incidence from −8° to +8°.
