Separation behavior of binary-density fluidized beds
Abstract
A binary-density-fluidized bed has been formed by specially designed bed structure. It can turn out three products in a fluidized cascade at the same time. The bed densities are uniform in the same density area and largely different between two distinct density areas. Three-product separation experiments were carried out with both artificial tracer and coal particles. The experimental results showed that the partition density was around 1.52 g/cm 3 and the probable error E p , about 0.08 in the separating area of low density. In the separating area of high density, the partition density was around 1.87 g/cm 3 , and the E p value, about 0.11.
