Abstract

Field data collected in subsidence area related to a thin seam excavation, slicing and longwall top-coal caving in Yanzhou mining district, China, were collected. Analysis of this data allowed construction of a model that allows prediction of the surface subsidence under variety of geological and mining conditions. The model inputs vary with mining conditions and the size of working areas, with the model validated for a variety of site conditions.
