Abstract

By means of the compartment model in systems ecology, the state of energy and materials’ flow of Weizhuang reclaimed land use system is analyzed. From the example, we find that a compartment model is an effective model for designing the input level of reclaimed land use system and adjusting the scale of each land use unit. To overcome shortcomings of the existed compartment model, variable parameters’ compartment model (VPCM) is developed. It is proved that VPCM can reflect the parameters of the system varying with time and reveal the nonlinear relationship between input and output of the system.
