Preliminary design of conveyor section for belt conveyor with cable-suspended idlers
Abstract
Traditional design of belt conveyor sections for cable type conveyor with suspended idlers may lead to sub-optimum results and poor conveyor performance. Through analysis of the forces acting in conveyor frame a new, preliminary design is proposed. It includes the design reference for selection of cable frame of most appropriate size.
