The non-linear dynamic analysis of inner flow in centrifugal impeller
Abstract
Based on experiments complex flow in the centrifugal machines is studied. The non-liner dynamics are used to define the phenomenon of inner fluid flow separation of centrifugal machines at points away from the design operating point. The approach allows quantifying complex three-dimensional flow in centrifugal machines, explaining the reasons for swirl flow, mechanisms of flow separation and stall, and their effect on pump performance.
