Abstract

Compared with the widely used catalysis methane sensor in mining, the analysis principle of infrared gas absorption spectrum offers a number of advantages and is becoming an important research subject in mining environmental inspection and control. The analysis of infrared gas absorption spectrum, the design of optics system, the elimination of environmental noise, the signal processing and development of the instrument are reported on in this paper. An advanced design of optics system based on non-dispersed infrared absorption is also described as developed recently in China. Finally the further developments related to application and development of infrared spectrum technique in mining environmental inspection are discussed.
