Research on dust diffusion and distribution during coal-cutting at the fully mechanized face
Abstract
Dust diffusion features and its concentration distribution are analyzed during coal-cutting at the fully mechanized working face based on the theory of turbulence hydrodynamics in this paper. The dust diffusion during coal-cutting is a synthesized diffusing process, which consists of the motion along the main airflow and the transverse diffusion caused by the turbulent ventilation. The dust diffusion equation during coal-cutting at the working face is derived from the mass conservation law, and then the math model of the dust distribution is established. This paper presents a practical sample analyzed with the math model. The dust distribution around the driver is calculated, and the theory analysis results match the practical measuring data approximately. At last, the relation among the dust concentration around the driver, the amount of dust-producing and the air velocity at the working face is analyzed, and the reasonable range of the air speed is deduced. The above research achievements show the biggish practical significance to the dust control at the fully mechanized working face in coal mine.
