Abstract

In order to enhance the capability of the fault prediction in underground mining operation, a safety expert system, which possesses the function of managing safety information, analyzing accidents and predicting faults, has been developed for Jinchuan mine No.2. Safety Information Management System (SIMS) is one of the sub-systems. This paper introduces the structure and functions of SIMS.
