Abstract

The presented planning system is based on many years of experience in hard coal mining with winning coal on different seams in one of the most complicated deposits in the world, applies computer technology that handles the vast amounts of required data to describe a coal mine, reduces the planning times by approx. 50%. The system is based on standard hard and software such as Oracle™ or MSOffice™. It runs on ordinary PCs and laptops to ensure world-wide availability. Special software such as the finite difference method is also used, if required, as is the physical modelling technique.
