Geological seeking for potential CBM-accumulation zones and districts in China
Abstract
New system is proposed for geological definition of potential coalbed methane districts. It is called “Progressive Key Factor Optimum Seeking” and comprises two parts: progressive seeking and quantitative ordering. This system has been successfully applied to search for the potential CBM-accumulating zones and districts in China. With this new system, the limitations of the traditional method “comprehensive evaluating standards” are alleviated, and the accuracy and reliability of the search results are improved.
