Trial study on underground coal gasification of abandoned coal resource
Abstract
The field trial of underground coal gasification(UCG) at Liuzhuang mine is introduced in this paper. The long tunnel, large section, advancing gasifier is designed in the trial according to the character of abandoned coal seam. The design rule and structure of the gasifier are studied and the stability of air successive gasification process is analyzed. In addition, the moving velocity and the length of the gasification face are measured by radon technology. The moving velocity measured is about 0.204 D0.487m/d. The trial has confirmed that UCG of abandoned coal resource is feasible.
