Abstract

The considerable environmental degradation of highly urbanised areas requires an appropriate strategy for the mitigation of hydraulic hazard. In these areas, characterised by the pollution of water and the degradation of the peri-fluvial environments, a global approach to soil safeguard together with water resources protection and improvement of compromised areas is particularly effective.
