Abstract

For the definition of the so called ‘Minimum Acceptable Flow’ in rivers, the estimation, on a statistical basis, of low flows in natural conditions is of key importance. This is a difficult task because hydrometric data are affected by major measurements errors and because the variability of geomorphological and climatic parameters influence significantly low flows regimes.
