Selected environmental issues and remedial actions for water supply and wastewater sector in Egypt
Abstract
This paper discusses selected environmental issues mainly related to water supply, and wastewater discharge in Egypt. Current problems encountered in these sectors were discussed highlighting proposed actions to avoid their negative effects on the environment. Major efforts are currently carried out in Egypt concerning these fields including planning for future requirement while preserving environmental conditions.
