The second generation of electronic blasting systems
Abstract
8 years after the market introduction of the first commercial electronic detonator DYNA- TRONIC the paper describes a new electronic blasting system Made in Germany. The results of a joint development between Dynamit Nobel and Orica is a unique universal electronic detonator, which is as simple to use as normal non-electric detonators. The delay time or delay interval is not factory preprogrammed and the system is not based on a numbered system like conventional detonators.
