Paleogeographic Settings
Abstract
Terrigenous clastic sediments are transported and brought to a sedimentary basin from the source-land by means of moving air, water or ice, under the influence of gravity. In contrast, carbonate sediments are produced within the basin, if supply of terrigenous elastics is limited and the basin is subaqueous (marine/lacustrine).
