Dust Control Equipment of Uo Type Used in Exhaust or Combined Ventilation System

The system of dust control of UO type used in exhaust or combined system of ventilation is a standard configuration in Polish mines. The electrical equipment for controlling the installation as well as methane detectors are included. The system ensures safe and efficient dust control and ventilation of roadways and guarantees proper coordination of different units. This system uses special vortex ventubes for controlling dust and removing methane accumulated under the roof. Therefore, it can be operated in the area of high dust concentration and methane explosion hazard. The system is used in all workings of Polish mines. Since their implementation, no methane or dust explosions have occurred. At the same time the rate of pneumoconiosis cases has been reduced.
