Abstract

In order to obtain a homogeneous mix conforming to a specified composition at the end of the mixing operation, experience has shown that it is essential: to have the aggregate supplied in several size fractions for better control over its grading and reducing segregation; to fill the feed hoppers of the batchers or proportioning feeders (pfs) + at the desired rate and in the appropriate fashion from a stock presumably constituted properly and hence sufficiently homogeneous in grading and, if possible, in moisture content also; to set and then monitor the proper functioning of the pfs as also their accessory control devices.
