Mixing
Abstract
In Chapter 9 (Part II) devoted to mixes, it was seen that to obtain mixes conforming to given specifications, it is essential that: the constituents be uniform and of a quality to easily achieve the required performance; they always be proportioned exactly and mixed homogeneously. Note : It is essential to emphasize at the very outset that one should not expect the mixing process to make up for wild fluctuations in grading or batching/proportioning of any one constituent.
